You don't need 10,000 downloads to make money on your podcast.

You’ve probably heard that you need to be getting 10,000 downloads an episode to make any kind of real money on your show, but that’s simply not true. If you have an audience, you have options.  Podcast marketing guru Lauren Passell will discuss strategies for how almost any podcast can monetize and she’ll also explain why that 10,000 download rumor doesn’t hold water.  She’ll share the basics about options for podcasts both big and small, creative ways podcasters have been able to make money, and the pros and cons of joining a network. Participants will also have the chance to workshop a monetization idea of their own and to receive feedback from the instructor and their peers.

Lauren Passell is the founder of Tink Media a podcast PR and marketing company (clients have included Jody Avirgan, Bridget Todd and PEOPLE magazine) and runs two podcast newsletters, Podcast the Newsletter and Podcast Marketing Magic. She is a curator for Hark Audio, a platform that makes podcast mixtapes.
