The A-Z of Descript for beginners

Descript is a game-changer for making podcasts, allowing producers with minimal experience to tackle editorial work.
In this online workshop for new users, experienced editor and producer Shawn Allee familiarizes you with Descript’s core features for transcription, clip management, and audio editing in multi-speaker compositions. He’ll also walk through how to export a project to traditional audio mixing platforms (like Audition, Reaper, and Pro Tools) for final processing — no matter the workflow. Sets a foundation for more advanced work in the platform, including video.
Bonus! When you sign up for class, you’ll get a promo code for a one-month free trial of Descript’s Creator account, redeemable for up to 3 months from the date of purchase.
Required: Download the program at the Creator level or higher and log in before the session. You should also bring some MP3 files you can work with during class. Wired headphones recommended.
* This class is capped at 16
