Podcast budgeting 101
How much does studio time cost? What about an engineer, composer or producers? In this workshop you’ll learn how to create and monitor a baseline budget for your long-form narrative or always-on podcast. Join experienced operations director and budgeting whiz Doug Slawin as he gives you the rundown on the basics of project management. He’ll walk you through the process of creating a projected budget based on real-world numbers, teach you how to monitor your team’s spending through “Budget Control” or “Progress Review” meetings, and explain how to create an Estimate at Completion. You’ll learn to look at the numbers through the lens of managing the triple constraints of cost, time, and scope and will walk away ready to make informed choices on production and spending.
*This class is capped at 10.

Testimonials
I appreciate how thoughtful and transparent Doug was. The spreadsheet he shared will be helpful, as well as the project management book he told us about. This session was eye-opening, humbling, and motivating all at the same time.
Plenty of opportunities for questions and useful to have the physical document examples to take away and look at after the class. Doug was a great teacher.
