Listening to good sound design can feel as baffling as it can compelling. How’d they do that?? Join sound designer David Herman as he discusses his work on the Peabody Award-winning podcast series Floodlines and WNYC’s The Experiment. He’ll talk us through the first episode, Part I: Ante­diluvian, as well as the first of The Experiment’s 3-part series on SPAM: Uncle SPAM. There will be plenty of time for questions. This event accommodates 98.

About Your Instructor

David Herman

David Herman is the owner of Good Studio, and a sound designer, mix engineer, and composer. He began his career in radio and podcasts at WNYC, and has since contributed to shows for NPR, The New York Times, Gimlet Media, Stitcher, and The Atlantic, where he created the sound design behind the Peabody Award-winning podcast series Floodlines.
