Online Workshop

In the audio world, we talk a lot about sounding natural. But you can’t sound natural unless you know who you are and how to write a script in your own voice. In this two part workshop, Senior Reporter and broadcaster Marielle Segarra will help you figure out what parts of yourself you want to share with an audience — and how you can bring those qualities into your writing and delivery. This will be an interactive class and you’ll get a chance to practice what you’ve learned. You’ll have a writing assignment for homework and during the second session you’ll receive feedback from the group.

SESSION 1: Sunday, September 18th, 12pm EST – 1:30pm EST
SESSION 2: Sunday, September 25th, 12pm EST – 2pm EST
*Please note that class meets for an extra half hour on 9/25

*This class is capped at 8.

Who's this class for?

Marielle did a good job implicitly setting the tone. i really appreciated the assignment prior, which helped me get my wheels turning. it was interesting to hear Marielle give feedback in realtime, that felt helpful. i found the class so thought provoking, i was journaling about topics and ideas all day. really grateful!
