Hosts are an NPR station’s direct link to the audience.  They speak to the listener, guide them through the day, and transition between national and local content, all while keeping calm when things behind the scenes might be falling apart.  In this workshop Christina Shockley will provide you with practical tips for how to hook the listener’s ear. You’ll gain effective strategies for speaking authentically, writing great forward promotes, meeting the tone of the show, displaying your personality, and taking control of your air shift. You’ll feel more confident behind the mic and walk into the studio with a new sense of excitement and purpose. Bonus: registration comes with a free, three-month license for Hindenburg audio editing software!

*This class is capped at 6.
