Growing a podcast is hard. Growing relationships and fostering engagement with listeners is even harder. That’s where a newsletter can become one of your most valuable tools.

In this live, interactive workshop, Arielle Nissenblatt will walk you through how newsletters actually work for podcasters today: not as a growth “hack,” but as a sustainable way to reach listeners, deepen engagement, and own your audience relationship beyond algorithms and platforms.

This class is grounded in real-world examples from podcasts of all sizes.

We’ll cover:

  • Do you actually need a newsletter? And what role could it play in your podcast production?
  • How to choose the right email service provider, cadence, and tone based on your goals
  • Simple, realistic ways podcasters can find subscribers
  • What to write when you “don’t have time” or feel like you have nothing to say
  • What consistency means and how newsletters and podcasts talk to one another
  • How newsletters can support growth, retention, monetization, and community
  • Common mistakes podcasters make when starting newsletters

This session is capped at 30 participants and includes discussion and light participation. You don’t need a finished idea, a platform picked out, or a polished plan.

Who's this class for?

Podcasters who already have a show and want to get smarter about marketing, audience relationships, and long-term growth.
