How’d you do that? We talk Alternate Realities with Zach Mack

Reporting longform narrative can be challenging. How should you best handle sensitive interviews? What’s the right structure? And, after spending months gathering tape which detail should you leave out and what should make it in? What if your sources are your family members and the story is… yours? Join reporter Zach Mach as he discusses his NPR new series, Alternate Realities and This American Life piece Ten Things I Don’t Want to Hate About You. Zach will walk us through his process and talk about the special considerations he took into account when turning the mic on his family and himself. There will be plenty of time for questions. This event accommodates 98.
